The LA’s BEST Family Brunch celebrates the importance of family, community and child-centered values. Every Kid Counts highlights the scope and reach of our work – to ensure every child in LA has a safe place to be after school with access to resources to help them thrive in life.
The Family Brunch is a unique event featuring performances by LA’s BEST students and interactive experiences for guests to feel the impact of LA’s BEST. Join us for heartfelt connections with our community of supporters, students and staff.
Time: The Family Brunch begins at 10:30 am with the LA’s BEST Experience where guests will connect with our students and will come to a close at 1:30 pm. Lunch will be served at 11:45 am.
Location: The Family Brunch will be held at the beautiful and eco-friendly UCLA Meyer & Renee Luskin Conference Center, located at 425 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095.
Parking: Self-parking is available in UCLA Parking Structure 8, immediately South of Luskin Center (555 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095), on Level 4 for $12. Valet parking is available for $16 at 425 Westwood Plaza.
Attire: The attire is Spring Brunch/Business Casual and we encourage you to come dressed in your personal style. The venue is air-conditioned, so we recommend bringing a sweater.
Michaela Pereira, of “Michaela” on HLN, has supported LA’s BEST since 2004! Michaela served on the BEST Friends Board, visited with hundreds of our students and hosted our signature event for years.
Kaiser Permanente has partnered with LA’s BEST for over two decades to help provide safe, nurturing after school environments so that children from economically distressed communities have the opportunity to lead healthy, happy and fulfilled lives.
Karen Calderon is one of LA’s BEST star Alumni! Karen, a senior in high school, was elected by her peers to serve as the student representative on the LA Unified School District Board, where she represents all 650,000 students in LAUSD.
